Acid House is what happened when a failed bass machine crawled out of the discount bin and bit civilization on the ankle. The Roland TB-303 was supposed to help guitarists feel less alone. Instead, some bored people twisted its knobs wrong and made the future sound like plumbing having a psychotic breakdown. Rubber bass, sewer bubbles, chrome insects, a synth line melting through the floor - that’s acid. It made clubs darker, sweatier, stranger. Acid House began because nobody read the manual, which is also how most great relationships and all terrible furniture happen.
