A thousand no’s.
One good record.
A place for music worth staying with.
One person, a parser, and a very selective ear.

The ear behind it
CRISPIENT is one person, a parser, and a lot of saying no. A script I wrote trawls Discogs after dark and drags thousands of releases out by the ankle — the rare, the mislabeled, the long-forgotten.
Then I go through them style by style and cut without mercy: what stays either cracks its genre open, pulls off something in sound design, or just carries a vibe I couldn’t put down.
One ear that says no a thousand times so it can say yes once.
Listen first. Follow the thread.
The library starts with a style and opens into records. A familiar rhythm might lead you somewhere unfamiliar. The articles give those discoveries room: a record, a scene, a detail you might have missed.
No accounts to make. Nothing to rate before you can listen. Start anywhere and stay as long as the music holds you.
Something I need to hear?
A thank-you, a track, a style I’ve slept on. There’s a person on the other end.
