Dark Ambient gives silence a floor plan and then switches off the lights. Drones move slowly enough to look stationary; underneath, the room keeps changing. Thomas Köner makes distance feel physical, Amon lets low frequencies gather weight, and Atrium Carceri builds corridors from reverb and dread. Percussion, when it appears, sounds less like a beat than a warning from another part of the building. These cuts are short doorways into much longer works; follow the records when you have time to let them unfold. The dark is doing most of the talking.
